It all began back in 1948, when Vincent Mannelli Sr. started his upholstery career in New York City, taking everything he learned about customer service; he opened his first furniture store on Long Island in 1964.
Vincent’s attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellent customer service was of the utmost importance, and he instilled these values in his son, Vincent Jr., who became interested and involved at a young age.
In 1973, at twenty-two years old, Vincent continued the tradition of excellence and opened his own store in Coram, Long Island. Ten years later Rich Martino, Vincent’s cousin, having the same principles in sales; came on board.
A new generation brought new ideas. The bedding industry was expanding, and the public was becoming understandably confused. Now more than ever, listening to and educating the consumer was a top priority. As the business grew, so did the family. It was a natural progression then for Vincent’s daughter, Carrie, to continue the tradition. In April of 2000 she began working at the Coram store and became the third generation of Mannelli’s involved. Once again youth and enthusiasm paved the way for future growth.
In March 2009 Josetta Ann (Josie), the 4th generation of Mannellis arrived. We're just waiting for her to get involved.
